Why install it if your just going to bypass it?
If you want to install an override switch heres what you can do..
You need to replace the wire you cut...
You will need a toggle switch as well as wire.
Splice into the green Wire on the Controll Module
Run that to your toggle switch
Then splice into the Yellow Wire on your Controll Module and connect that to the other side.
Mount the switch in your dash or whatever.
Now if the switch is off the Key pad will need to be used, and if the switch is on you will have power.so u can turn the key and hit the button...
Honestly if it was me, I would get rid of the @!#$ key all together. Use the keypad and the Push Button Start. I think that would be really neat. Plus you wont have to Flip the switch/enter code + Turn Key + Hit starter button
If you don't want the switch to light up don't put a ground to it. That is simple. Why do you want a keypad to your ignition? If i was you i would prefer to hook up a touch screen like transporter 2.
yea, ik how to run a bypass system on it....and it is just for convience.......
and as for the touch screen......if u wanna donate some money into getting me one....that would be kool.....but until then......i dont think so.....not until i get a nicer car....
so does the amp of the switch matter or not???
As long as the volts are rated for over 12V, you'll be good. I think most switches you find will be over 12V.
As far as amps, I havent really looked at what your doing but it looks to me like you are going to be putting the switch between the ignition and starter. I'd do a relay if thats what you're doing. I'm not sure how many amps those wires pull though so you might be able to get away with a switch.
