I am looking to build a custom big 3 kit. I can make my own cheaper than buying it from Street Side Speed and Custom. The fure holder I am looking at is a MAXI fuse holder. I was wondering what you all would suggest for fuse size. I will be using 4 guage wire on a stock alt and battery, with upgrade to a yellow top bat soon.

150 amps
I doubt you're gonna find a maxi that big

fuse is determined by the wire size. is 150 nessicary? it depends on how much power you are running, allot of people like to run fuses sized to what their system is. i prefer to fuse the wire with the largest fuse the wire can safely handle. this way down the line if i switch amps out and get a bigger system i usually dont have to worry about changing the fuse up front where as if you got say a 50 amp fuse in there, then buy more amps you may have to buy a bigger fuse as well. not a huge deal but when fuses can cost you around 5$ buying them locally its nicer to not ever have to replace them.

So what size would you suggest for me? I am running a stock alternator and battery, with a planed yellow top upgrade. I will be running 1 2ch 500wat amp, and 1 4ch 70watt amp. Would 150 be a good choice?
