I'm lookin for a set of 2-way speakers for my front doors, and I came across
these bad boys and I noticed that they have something called a "whizzer tweeter"? Is this a bad thing? The speakers are dirt-cheap and they look hideous, but theyll be covered completely so I dont care how they look... they'll also be hooked up to the stock RDS deck on the '02 Z24's "premium sound system"... will these sound decent?
They are the same construction as stock, they have paper cones, and do not have a dedicated driver for the high frequencies. Do a little more research, and pick something else.
In not so many words, they will suck balls, dont waste your money.
Unless you don't care about sound quality at all...then go right ahead
hahaa, thanx bro, i'll keep lookin
What are you going for here? I could link you toa pair of Kicker 6 1/2 componets that cost $200 or I could give you a Pair of 6.5s that are crappy. Are you just looking for a decnet replacement with no improvement... or are you building a audio system?
If you want some good ones, go with some 6.5 Componets for no less than $100 and hook them up to a good 2ch amp. I personally like Alpine's 6.5s and I am going to hook up a 4 ch Hifonics amp to my 6x9s and 6.5s in the front.

I'm just lookin to replace those crappy 4x6's they put up front man, nothin too special. Those fronts sound like absolute garbage stock...
anything with out a papper cone will be an improvement over stock ( more or less). the stock speakers do suck, if you really want to improve the quality, go with seperate components instead of a coaxil, i find you normally get the best sound out of those. but even an upgraded coaxil with a plastic cone will sound better than the stock papper bastards.
