alright well im ready to throw my new cap off a cliff thats how pissed off i am right now .... this is what is happen
alright i will start my car nothing on no system no nothing.... it will read 14.26 on the top of the cap....
now with the car still running at idle i will put the system on not too loud and the cap will drop down to 12.88 i turn the system off it goes back to 14.26
then i will turn the A/c on and the cap will drop from 14.6 down to 12.6 and there is no system on.
now driving around the cap will be at 14.26 but then for some reason i stop at a light the cap will drop down to 12.88 the i start to go again and it will go back up to 14.6
and onces im driving around and have the system on and LOUD it cap will stay at 14.26 to 14.6 but once i hit a stop sign or somthing and i come to a stop i will drop down to 12.88 same with when i turn on the a/c
now what could be the problem??? the cap is brand new.. im not saying it not the cap .. hell if i knew i might be but the bat is stock same with the alt... i dont know what could be making this do it .. and its really pissing me off becuz it took me 2 hours to run all the wires and everything soo it would like nice
can anyone help me on this one
ditch the caps, they do nothing. upgrade "the big 3." if you search, you can find a full how-to guide on how to accomplish this. you should also upgrade your battery, optima red top would be a good choice.

the reason your alt drops voltage at a stopsign is because your car does nto produce voltage below a certain rpm. the alternator is set to produce power at roughly 900 rpm and your idle is probably lower. turning your ac on causes a current draw so thats why it drops then.
^^^ listen to him...next to john lenko, hes a j-body GOD around here...
