Its for my g/f's car..I'm looking for a subwoofer that makes clean sound, not one that just beats hard.
I was thinking Infinity, But its going to be 2 10"s in a sealed box being powered by a 800 watt max. Rockford amp.

what is the wattage RMS. thats a little more useful than max. Do you need small sealed box drivers? or does it not matter what the box size?

Get 2 10" Kicker Comp VR's. Those things pound and have a very clear sound to them. I had set of 2 of them in my car and I loved them, but I now have a single 12" Kicker L5 in a Kicker box. That sub also has great bass with the clarity that you would be looking for. Just think about it
Kickers aren't good for sq, especially the square ones.
kickers just pound... i'd say ed.... or maybe an MTX sub maybe

I'm not positive but I believe its around 250 to each channel..
I wont buy comp or MTX for sound quality. lol

for space saving and efficiency i would say a couple sealed eD 11Kv.2s would probly fit ur bill quite nice... what kinda budget are u looking at for the subs?

Alpine type E! $130 a sub and very clear.

Alpine Type-E isn't on par with a single sub mentioned thus far........ not even close..... $130 for a type e or $90 for an AA Assasin? ill definately be going with Ascendant all day long without thinking twice.... 75 with the forum discount for a 13kv2.....90 for a 12 inch assasin..... i dont see where a type e can even compete with their prices let alone those 2 subs (among many many others) outperform that crap box alpine calls a sub ten fold....
