Hi, I have a Chev Cav Z24 2001 and my problem is when I switch my air to blow on my feet or my face... my AC light is on and it wont turn off. The 1 only setting the AC light goes off is when the setting is for feet/windshield?? I can feel the compressor starting when I try all the settings but I can not turn the AC off. It sucks when I want to clear my windows or get some heat I have to use the same setting (winshield/feet).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
ummm you want the a/c to help clear your windows.....it draws moisture out of the air
as for your probelm, i would check the connections on the panel
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Yah but when its below freezing AC doesn't do the trick
I want heat for my different selections.
It's the little ac button you push to turn on and off. When on the green light is lit and when off the green light is supposed to go off but not for me it is still lit and the AC is still running. It only turns off when I set the air to Feet/Winshield. So when I want heat I can only use the Feet/Windshield selection. Every other selection, say air just on the windshield or just at my feet, the AC light comes on automatically and the AC kicks in without even pushing the button to turn it on?? When I push the button to turn it off NOTHING it stays on.
That is part of the defroster circuit. It will automatically come on there is nothing you can do about it. It should tur warm when the vehicle warms up...
There might be two settings on your HVAC panel, one with the winshield in orange the other in white. The winshield in orange actually uses the AC system to dry the air prior to blowing on the windshield, the white one does not.
mine blows hot air all the time and ac light is always on no matter the setting (except off)
