Ok I have a pioneer premeir deh-p8mp, I am lookin into either a Alpine cda-9833 or cda-9835, I am just bored of the pioneer and want something new, am I upgrading by goin to the alpine, I had a older alpine before, it was a cda-9807, and I was very happy with it other than it didnt have an EQ or crossovers. Let me know what you think.

i personally love alpines sound quality but as far as im concerned the sound settings are a pain in the ass..pioneers looks nicer and easier to use..ill prolly go back to pioneer next....although i like the alpine iva screen..phil
I have an Alpine CDE-9845. It isn't very old, I just got it this year. I'm just not happy with the controls of it. I'm too used to Pioneers I guess. The only thing I need to know is if your Pioneer face flips down or not. But I'm deffinately willing to part with it if you are interested.
I have a remote for it as well.
CDA-9835
AMAZING headunit
I have one and love it.
It has all the EQ and crossover settings you could ever want, time correction, V-Drive Hybrid Amplifier (strong headunit amp), and of course... biolite.
Over pioneer, you are upgrading by going to Alpine as long as you dont go for the newest ones (which the 9835 isn't). The new ones are more set to appeal to the masses, unfortunately.

I want the 9835 but would also just as well take a 9833. they're pretty much the same minus the graphics and a couple other small things.
