Loses Factory Radio Preset

Folks, I've tried the search and came up dry.

I have an 05 Cavalier with MP3. The first unit would loset AM presets after a couple days and was replaced under warranty. The NEW unit now loses ALL presets with 24 hours.

I'm like, dag.

Has anybody faced this problem and if so, were you able to identify a solution.

Hmm... never heard of that one before. I'd say you've got a lemon radio on your hands.

This is a long shot... but do you have keyless entry? Might be a problem with the BCM and the personalization feature... each remote will store it's own radio presets... depending on which remote used to unlock the car, it will use those presets. Maybe there's something up with your BCM and synchronization to the remotes.

I'll have to research the keyless entry issue as both fobs are always available for use.

I'm on the second radio now and a third is on order. I'd like to think there is a retained accessory power issue somewhere, but the factory answer is to replace the whole unit.

Many thanks for he input.
