Ok im trying to do the big three and doing the battery to the alternator right now but when i unscrew the stock battery to alternator on the alt side the part its screwed too turns aswell. Ive tried a wrench, a socket wrench, a 12point wrench, heated it, wd40, etc. I almost knocked the stock alt wire off and it broke a little but is still connected barely. Anyone have any ideas?
And its started to strip on the part that moves so im worried.
okay i ran into this before use a cresent wrench. set them so you can sqeeze them together like a pair of scissors, now that you have that done find a way to extend the handle of the wrenches. the most valuable to in any garage is a section of sturdy pipe that fits over your wrench handles. rest one handle on your shoulder and pull on the other to break it loose.
Okay cool ill go pick some up tonight and let you know how it went. Thanks
Find some wrenches that fit the nuts correctly, cresent wrenches are the fastest way to round off nuts.
then apply force to them in opposite directions
use a backup wrench. put a monkey wrench on the nut on the alt side, then use another to loosen it on the other side of the wire.
