Make and model of the unit is going to be needed. I know some work by simply grounding the wire.

Sold 6/30/06.

If you search, i posted how to do it three different ways...

The simple ground
With a switch
and with a relay

There are more complicated systems, and they need a hacked firmware upgrade to overide, but they are high end and/or factory models

If Alpine, use a PAC model PAC 10 converter. It tricks the system into thinking the car is parked and comes with instructions. Of coarse, I'm not telling this so you can drive and watch it at the same time but, your passengers will be able to. Original Alpine CVA 1000 use the rca adapter cord, wire the park brake to a ground and hook the navigation in and out wires together....I know this works because I used to have this deck.

for newer alpines, grab yourself a TR-7 module
