Ive read the Big 3 wiring upgrade a few times and understand the jest of it however...
I dont have a crazy sound setup (at least I dont think so) so will this screw up my electricals by pushing too much power?
I mean when my bass hits, I do see the clock and instr. panel lights dim but dont really know if my headlights do. (never paid attention)
My setup- (alpine 1000watt amp, xplode frt and rears, (2) 10" Kickers)
And, even though it was said to just mount the (-) wires as close to the chassis as possible... can I just mount it to where the original (-) is( the battery tray and/or nearby the tranny)? Will this cause any problems if I do so?
I just think it looks cleaner if I just keep them all together. Or if anyone else has any ideas on where to mount it, then please let me know.
I know its just adding wires to the system but I just wanna make sure before I go about doing this so I dont have any problems in the long run.
Thanks in advance.

Where you place the wires should be much of an issue as long as you route them away from any heat source like the engine block or manifold. The positive wire is quite simple...from alternator + terminal to (appropriate size) fuse block within 18" of the battery then from there to the + battery terminal.
The ground portion of the Big 3 involves 2 wires. One wire from the negative battery terminal to a point on the chassis and then a second wire from that some point on the chassis to an exisitng bolt on the engine block. I've used the fender in the past. Just remove one of the fender bolts and sand the area down to the bear metal and use 2 ring terminals that will fit under the bolt.
Thanxz for the info Asher!
Right, the Big 3 goes..
(+) cable from battery to alt
(-) cable from battery to chassis
(-) cable from alt to chassis
(+) 4gauge cables require a 130-150amp inline fuse
Alright I got this much down but my question is, can I just mount the extra grounds to the already existing ground points?
Theres a ground point that goes from the battery to the battery tray (can I mount the extras here) and from there another ground mounts nearby the tranny almost underneth the intake manifold (can I mount the extras here)? See I dont know if they'll cause a problem because Im mounting them on an existing ground point. Can I re-use the same ground points or do they have to be another location?
Thanks again in advance

thxz sndsgood and Asher.
Now I know
-and knowing is half the battle
Im up for any other points for the Big 3.
Thanks again and again in advance

I wouldn't use the battery tray, I'd prefer a direct connection to the chassis. You could then run the second ground wire from that point to the existing bolt on the tranny.
