Ok, so my current setup is, im using a line out adapter for all of the amps in the back of the car. I have a 2002 monsoon system, Im running infinity speakers all around. I have a 3rd party cheap amp running 2 tweeters which i have hooked into the 'high freq' output in the rear of the car. Im running the subs and 6x9's off the "low-freq" output on the rear.
For the subs i have 2 12" infinity kappa perfect subs running off a JL 500/1 sub amp.
My problem lies in the new 6x9's that i recently installed.
The 2 6x9s are running off a pioneer 760 watt amp, (the cheap one you can buy at like walmart) and when i turn the volume up about 1/2 way on the deck, the speakers cut out and stop playing.... I havent ajuested the gain on the amp yet, as I figured it would be the same for the speakers that I just bought, or similar (i had infinity reference 6x9's and bought kappas) the new speakers have a slightly higher power handeling capability.
Is there something wrong with the speakers or am I missing something? (i will try playing with the gain later on tonite, and i already checked my connections and grounds)
I also have the kappa 6x9 the only thing i can think of is , the speakers are 2ohm instead of 4 like normal . so maybe you restiances are to low for your amp.
