Well my car is dimming really bad. like the lights dim so much i cant see them and the dash lights. my cd player turns off when i press the brake at idle or do anything else that turns on a light. when i take my battery off the car stays on running on the alternator.. so what could it be?
Bad Alt, or Bad Battery. Possibly a weak ground, but its normally alt or battery related. Also, just depends on how much you're driving through the sub.
That's an assumption though, try to be more descriptive of your setup
i mean it happens with out my system being connected and even though its just a 300w amp connected to pioneer 6x9's. i have to step on the gas so everything will turn on perfectly the lights get bright the cd player stays on ect .... looking for someone with a autzone warantee =)
Battery... happened to me 3 months after i got the car.... got a new battery and the problem was solved
just riding around in the 4 door cav
Get a GOOD battery and this won't happen again.
Optima BlueTops are cheap and deep cycle.
the battery is actually creating such a load on the alternator that its stealling too much energy from the rest of the system. you could to a voltage check of the battery with the car of and with the car on or across the alt terminals to see if it is charging properly. also, pull your battery off and go get it tested. some places test for free, so then it doesnt even cost you anything.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
(I think he ment the amp, not the battery)
Also, if you don't have a cap in the system, the could help. Definately get the battery checked out first.
Electrical systems in cars aren't very cut and dry to begin with, so it probably wouldn't hurt at some point to go through and wire up the 'big 3' ground loop in the car in addition to the Audio Cap. Granted it might not be too necessary, it could never hurt.

i think you think he meant the amp, i believe he did mean battery
Drucas is right the big three would help anyone pulling more juice off the electrical system then stock. so i would do it since its cheap! also i would have the battery tested I think thats the problem. is the battery light on? the one on your dash?
also if you interested in a j-body big three kit let me know!
Who needs a sig?

he's right and I'll even expound on that. you have shorted battery plates. this causes the overall voltage across your battery to be lower than normal and thus your alternator is trying to charge the battery up to normal levels constantly which is causing your alternator to put out more current than it's rated. if you continue to run like this you'll not only have a bad battery but you'll fry your alternator also.
