I am replacing the front and rear speakers of my car and hooking them up to a amp... tell me if this is a good config, I would just get 1 4 chan amp insted of 2 2 chan but my 4x6 pioneers are only like 20watt rms and i have already bought them
Front:
Pioneer 4x6
Boss 2 chan amp
Would a 40watt rms amp be to much for the 20watt rms 4x6 ones?
Back:
MA Audio 6x9
Power Acustick 2 chan amp
Any suggestions would be nice also, thanks !

"Laying in bed one night, I said "Where did I go worng?". Then I heard a voice say "This is going to take a while..."
what kinda sound are you looking for? how important is your sound system to you, and how much money you spending on everything total?
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
Well those Pioneers will handle a LOT more than 20 watts. I had a similar set a few years back, before I discovered good sound, and had about 100 watts constant to them. Plus with those amps, you're not going to get what they state the RMS output at, almost guaranteed.
But to answer your actual question to the best of my knowledge/opinion... no that's not a good setup for SQ or SPL. The 6x9's I'm not as familiar with as the Boss and Pioneer products, but if you want GOOD sound, more than likely you're gonna have to shell out more than that. For perspective, my highs and mids with the amp retail for about $650, but I got it all for around $440. Just shop around for good prices.
If you're only wanting to replace the 4x6's and 6x'9 with more 4x6's and 6x9's, I'd recommend
these, my friend runs those in his Neon, and they sound great. If you're stuck with your Pioneers, then sorry

. For 6x9's I've run
these with about 200 watts constant to them, and even before I installed my subwoofer, I had so many people ask me what subs I was running.
A good 4-channel amp like
this one would be a good way to go, IMO. Keep in mind the speaker and amp suggestions are only my opinion, there are a lot of people on here with more experience with more brands than me, so don't take it to heart too quickly. Best of luck finding what you want.
