Need immediate eliectrical help! BCM???
Friday, September 29, 2006 6:07 PM
Ok fellas, hers my conondrum, i started my car, everything worked fine, i turn the switch to turn on my lights and the car goes dark. my guages are stuck where they were, the interior lights, driving lights, head lights, tail lights, cigarette lighters, keyless entry, radio, horn and such do not work, hazards, turn signals, reverse lights, climate control and climate control lights still work perfectly, no idea what happened, someone please give me ideas. Ive tried to locate the drl relay with no luck, and im hoping its not the bcm thats gone, but i didnt think it would affect the keyless and trunk release and horn. HELP!!!!

Weve come up with three ideas, one is a bad bcm, two is a bad drl, or three, (the least likely) a ground problem!

i'd change that order around to start with the BCM, what year fire/cav might help us diagnose this a lil better!

its a fuse most likely, to the instrument panel.

^^^^^^^^^^ thats the first thing we did. we went through every fuse and relay in the dash and engine bay boxes.

we gave up and took it to the dealer. they said it was a corroded wire connector/harness. the one that runs from the fuse box under the hood to the interior.
