Well I have a JVC AVX2 and for some reason when I turn it up for long amounts of time.. the wire going from my fuse box ( I think its on the ignition fuse ) to the CD player.. starts smokeing and melting. and the CD player shuts off. It has yet to damage the CD player but the wire keeps getting messed up.
I was wondering If I should put 12 instead of 16 gauge wire on the fuse so it wont melt so easy ? or does anyone know what I should look at ?

sounds like theres a short... the bigger wire may help.. but i would double check everything.
its probably just the insulation burning up. that size of wire probably cant handle the current. go 12 awg and that should solve the problem. if there was a short, it should be blowing fuses.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
