IPOD in the car

How does everyone that has an IPOD use it in their car. Do you use an FM transmitter or direct hook up to the head unit? Just curious since I am planning on installing an IPOD hookup for my head unit.

i have the cda 9855 with the hookup and it sounds amazing... granted it may be slow to use. do not use the fm transmitter unless absolutely necessary as it will have @!#$ty sound!!

I have my IPOD connected directly to my Pioneer with the aux connection. If you have a factory radio you can only use FM trasmitter, if you have aftermarket look and see if you have the ablity to connect directly.

Also this has been asked and posted a few times, search the Audio Forum and you should get some ideas.
