As far as I know, we can't just jack 500 Watts straight into our soundcard. So how would this be of any use to us?

well if it can be used as a mic you can use it as an rta and as a scope you wouldnt send it 500 watts, you'd send it your imput signal. but for the price and the size of the rta i'd rather have the stand alone rta program on my laptop.

How much do RTA's (RealTime Analyzer?) cost. And where do you get them?

Threadjacking sort of, but it's leading toward me using this program so

Nm, I didn't read that right. I have a free O-Scope on my computer

Do you need a special mic?

im going with trueaudio.com the 1/6th octave though most would be fine with the 1/3 octive. i know of a couple of guys using this program and i trust their judgement, its a good alterntative to paying $1000-3000 for a real rta. as far as mic goes, the better mic you use the better results youlle get. im just going to use a cheapy mic for setup figuring either way it will still be allot better then trying to find the holes by ear.

this post also shows you how much attention we get as far as moderators cause it should have been locked last week lol
