was wondering if there was an adapter i could get to hook my laptops headphone jack into my alpine cda-9851 so i can listen to my library of music, or if i can even do it at all
there's a headphone jack to RCA adapter that you can plug into an AUX jack on your HU if you have one. or, you could try one of those FM modulator/transmitter things.
Desert Tuners

“When you come across a big kettle of crazy, it’s best not to stir it.”
hmm im not sure if mine has a aux jack
You need a...
Headphone to RCA jack adapter

You can get one of these almost anywhere.
and
KCA-121B

You can pick one of these up at crutchfield.
Then you're good.
Another thing you may want is one of those things that removes unwanted signals from RCA's because sometimes the connection is a little "noisy". You'll have to see how it sounds first.
Make sure that you remember to turn aux in on when you hook it up or else you'll be back askin why it isn't working.
