I have a '73 Volvo 1800 that I'm trying to have a keyless entry system installed into.
The locking mechanism is far different than any I've ever seen on a vehicle.
The installer said the actuators weren't nearly strong enough, and he had no clue how to do it.
I was thinking about trying 2-inch linear actuators (110lbs) and sent an email to a salesperson. His reply was that standard actuators would work if used together with an std unit with a relay output, which I've never heard of, and neither had the installer when I contacted him.
I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone on the phone from that company. If anyone has any ideas what he was talking about or knows of another way to go about solving this problem, any help would be appreciated!
