1000 watts for one 12 inch alpine type R or 1000 watts to 2 12 inch alpine type Rs???
1000 watts for a type R is pushing it IMO. Im putting in two tomorrow and running them at .5 ohm with 850 each and that may be pushing it. Id say 2 at 500 each is good.
Where are they going to be?

There are many many people running 1000w into the type r's on a daily basis. No problems yet.
Iv been considering getting another M1005 and running one to each instead of 1 to both as i am now.
I would do 1000 per 2 type-r's. Thats just based upon the fact that if they were mine i wouldn't want to run the risk of doing 1000 per and blowin um and then having to buy another one.
But like said above, they can handle the power.
