ok im trying to hook up this CD player in my friends car. i have done this before but this one is different. i hooked up all the speaker wires and they are out of the way. whats left from the car is a orange wire (lumination), blue wire (power antennea, dont think i need). coming from the harness is a baby blue, pink, and dark blue.
a hooked up 2 yellow wires (constant) 2 red wires, and dark blue (think it said amp)
so what do you guys think i need to do?

its a chrysler labarron. cd player is an explode. there is a harness, it fits into the sony HU.

shouldn't you have one that fits into the stock harness so that the colored wires match?

did you go buy a 10 dollar wiring harness, or are you just wiring it directly to the factory wiring?

It looks like he's wiring it directly to the factory harness.
I think you screwed something up somewhere.
84-95 LeBaron Radio:
Blue (White stripe) Right rear speaker -
Blue (Orange stripe) Right rear speaker +
Brown (Yellow stripe) Left rear speaker -
Brown (Blue stripe) Left rear speaker+
Blue (Red) Right front speaker -
Purple Right front speaker+
Brown (Red) Left front speaker -
Dark Green Left front speaker +
White Power antenna/amp
Pink 12v Constant
Red (White) 12v Switched
There should be two plugs. One black, one gray. The black one should contain all the speaker wires, and the Gray one has the hot wires and the illumination, but they aren't used from what I see.

Def get the harness. Cuts the time dramatically and there is no cutting of the factory harness, so if you sell the car all you do is plug the old radio back in. Circuit City or Best Buy or other audio shops sell them.

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
i know about harness...he claims he got one. its weird how its set up. there are like 2 platic pices with wires coming out that look like connectors...but have wires leading to other connectors...and in the end there is one that fits into the HU. he just had a HU in it so i guess it would have the harness (got stolen). ill try and take a picture if he comes back of the harnesses but he lives like 40 minutes away. thanks for the help anyway.
