Ok i am hooking my door speakers to an amp how do i run the wires from inside the car to the doors? Im trying to run them through where the stock ones were and its impossible to get it through that rubber tubing crap.
Not really. Use a bit of semi-stiff wire and bend it to the same shape as the 'rubber tubing crap' and poke it through. Then tape the wires from the speaker to the end of the wire and pull it back through. Voila!
Actually take the damn grommit off of either side and put the wires through that. But wait, I am a retard remember. You 2 are pathetic.
GIT 'ER DONE!
seriously, constantly causing drama in peoples threads for no reason isnt exactly productive on the forums is it? you need to calm your immature attitude down dude....anyhow... move the carpet inside the car by where the grommet meets the car, push em through there, remove the grommet from the door side, find em when they poke through there, then feed them into the door, once u got enough exces wire to grab and pull through the speaker hole, reattatch the grommet,
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
yea i got it thanks alot everyone
My grommets were bitches, so I didn't remove them.
Ugh... grommets. I hate em lol. I used a coathanger when I put my cathodes in my door pockets.
Why don't you use the wires behind the radio? They do go to the speakers to get sound.....right? Just cut them and run the new speaker wire for the amp to the car-side.
Sam
Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
some people prefer less splices... and wanna just run 1 solid wire the full length. thats my preference.

not to mention thats only 18awg...if you amp your speakers...you better be running no more than 50 RMS watts at those speakers for that small of wiring.
when i did it, i removed the grommet from both ends, put it through the car into the outside, scrunched the grommet as small as possible, put it through that, then through the door. then pulled a lot of slack through...and replaced the grommet. worked for me with minimal frustration after i spent enough time getting pretty pissed off at that thing...

God I hated doing this! I did it on my car and then a week later on acidburn's car. IMO just pop the damn things off , fish the wires through and pop them back on.
am i the only person in here that doesnt think it was all that hard to put the speaker wire into the doors?

i remember i took my car to a reputable installer to do the alarm, (i refuse to do alarms) and i had my leds placed in each door and the car comes back with the wire wirewrapped to the outside of my rubber boot. he said he couldnt do it. so i took it home and dit both doors in about 20 minutes.
this is one of those things that will take you a bit of time to do

why does it seem like it didnt take me that long? everyone is saying it takes a while, but i realy dont remember any issues at all with this rubber boot and getting wires through it

it isnta big deal. another way to do it is to slice the grommet. slide the wire inside it and put it back once done you cant even tell you did it.

really just depends i mean if you get lucky and slide it thru on the first shot then your in business. i just know it seems like that takes more time to do then anything else.

its not all that hard. its slightly frustrating when you keep hitting he ribs of the grommet, but its not too bad. i amped mine, took me about a half an hour to an hour tops. the included running the speaker wire from the trunk to the door and throught the grommet. i also installed small home made pig tails with my trusty soldering iron ad some nyoln booted spade connectors. i wish i would have used better connectors through. the spades are hard to pull apart, which istn a bad thing for soemthing like this, but the nylon boots are a pain in the arse.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
