My friend put a PA system in his car (I have no idea why he needed it), but anyway, when the engine is running the speaker makes a whistling noise and i was wondering if there was anything we could do to fix it.

check your grounds, probably engine noise
whooops and make sure that the speaker wires are not anywhere near a power line.

i haven't had a chance to check how he ran his wires yet. Knowing him, he ran it right over top of the battery.
