I am looking at installing a set of Crystals and the guy I am getting them from said the basket is 7 1/4". I am doing the 6.5" adapter so will these fit and still look stock? Anyone know how much space is in the door backwards before it hits something?

what size speaker it is? If you make a 3/4 bracket you shouldn't have any problems. You can always come out from the door, it also depends on how much the tweeters stick out of the speaker.
It is listed as a 6.5". The hold cut diameter is 5.25" but to the outer edge of the mounting flange is 7.25". Will this fit behind the door panel okay? The other thing is it is 3.1" mounting depth. Think it will clear?

the diamater isn't going to be an issue..it's the depth you need to look at.
