my speedometer is messed up on my 97 sunfire coupe. so im installing a greddy auto timer with built in speedo, ect... i have everything hooked up correct. but i cant seem to find which wire is the speedo wire. any know?

i dont know but look on the tranny the vss sensor maybe its atleast the same color

there isn't a specific speedo wire in the dash. all the information for the gauges and idiot lights is sent via a serial bus.
to get a speed signal, you will need to go to the transmission.

If you have your cluster out , the plug the connects to the back side should have 17 (if I recall) wires. You're looking for the Drk Gr / White stripe , vehicle speed input. Tap into that one.
