I've got an '02 Z and an '00 Sunfire cluster. I went the white face route with the Fire cluster, and pulled the needles and the old face off to install the new one, being very careful not to bend or break the needles. I got everything done, put it back together, installed it, and it lights up, but nothing, and I mean nothing moves. I've got the original in now for a backup, but would love to get the fire cluster working. If anyone knows what to do, I'd really appreciate a reply. Thanks!

You just can't do it with 00+ cavaliers, unless there's a new method, but I haven't seen it.
I've pulled apart two clusters... one, all four pins pulled out with the needles... threw it away, couldn't fix it.
The other, I got three off without pulling the pins... but the DAMN TACH came out.... I pushed it all the way in, then pulled it out bit by bit until it started working again. Took a long time to get it to work right....
So if the pins come out with the needles like mine did, but I got them back in, I'm screwed? I didn't know if I stripped the gears or what, cause when I plugged the cluster back in, I heard the gears kick in, but nothing else happened. The needles never moved, but the cluster did light up. This sucks.
