Does anyone know if the 99 PCM is the same in a 5 speed or in an automatic? I need to put one on my 97 Cavalier for the EGR delete?

You would need it programmed with the correct program.

If you use an automatic PCM on a 5 speed, it's going to throw codes because the auto transmission won't be speaking to the PCM... lots of fun. The idle will be lower than it should as well.

If you use a 5 speed PCM on an automatic.. it won't shift... and the idle will be high.

The physical PCM itself is the same... just the programming is different.
