Components will always be louder then coaxial speakers.

Cone area, sensitivity, speaker placement, power input, whether or not the speakers are enclosed, the enclosure themselves, etc - THOSE factors determine just how loud a set of coaxes or comps will get. I seriously doubt that you'll hear any difference in SPL between a set of 6.5" coaxes and 6.5" comps from the same product line. Sure it will sound louder if you have tweeters mounted right next to you, but chances are it will sound like crap unless you lower the tweeter level to the point where it no longer overwhelms your mids.
6x9s usually handle alot more power; they *should* get considerably louder, and produce more/deeper bass than most 6.5" comps/coaxes. Check your wiring. If you think it's wired wrong, run new wire from the deck to the back. Try fiddling around with your fader. Maybe try dynomatting the rear deck to get rid of holes/air leaks. Don't know what else to tell you, seeing that I haven't run rear speakers in 10 years. The stock rear speakers in my cav seemed to get pretty loud when they were hooked up. I'd try tinkering with the deck first.

You're not amped?? Do you mean you dont have an aftermarket amp running to them, or ur 100% sure that theres no stock amplifier behind the trunk carpet in the trunk?...because that would explain a lot as to why they're quiet if you have the amp in the trunk....im just asking for clarification...

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
