can you have top terminal battery in a cavalier (2001, 2.4) i though you could, but wal-mart says i cant..... so im baffled and i needs a new battery. also is there a big difference between optima red top and yellow top?
you can have a top post battery in a cavalier, thats what mine is...you just need to convert your battery cables to top post style, but they sell the adapters at walmart for that. i think the guys at walmart are just retarded

Top mounts can definitely work in our cars. You just have to make sure you have enough clearance between the battery and the hood.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
yes you can. just get a batter with top AND side posts. put your factory cables on the side..and whatever new stuff on top
