Getting a deck, some questions

Well, in a couple days I will be purchasing this

Annnddd, I got a question. I was reading through that sticky up there, but didn't find an answer. My question is:

The Tracker harness hooks everything up EXCEPT for the switched 12v+ right? Is there any way to hook it up so the stereo still shuts off when the door opens without buying the Metra VT-GMRC-01? I don't like the door chimes anyway, just looking for info. I know I can tap into the windshield wiper fuse as that's what I did for my XM Radio, but I just wanted to retain this feature. Thanks!

If it can't be done, it's not a big deal. It's just a feature I really liked. I'll probably buy the mounting kit and harness tomorrow, hopefully I'll have the deck by next monday I feel like a kid, I'm excited lol. Subs + amp coming soon, after some more suprises

Does your current radio stay on till the door opens. I believe you might be able to tap into that fuse and not have a problem. Or with a couple of relays you can basically make that module by tapping into the door trigger.

Yes it does. I believe the BCM controls the radio off. The sticky said something like the headunit receives constant power, and the BCM tells it when to shut off. That's why it'll stay on for 10 minutes after the car shutting off, or the door opening.
