Well when i ordered my amp kit, i had planned on using a 600w amp and a 400 watt amp. However i changed my mind and exchanged the amp for alpine 1000w amp. So now im running 1400watts through a 1000w amp kit.

Now i have blown one fuse already on the 1000w amp side. 400w side is fine. I had it cranked to over 75% volume. I put a new 30amp fuse in there and it is working fine. Its still plenty loud, but id like to put a bigger fuse in there. Alpine recommends a 60amp fuse. I have a 60amp inline, and then two 30s in the distro block. Will the 4g wire that comes with the kit be ok with a 60amp fuse in the block. What the smallest wire size you would run with that. I just dont wanna burn up any wire.

4awg wire? you can stick anything up to about 125 in there and be safe.

Yeah the new rockford fosgate amp kits puts a 100amp maxi fuse in the 4gauge kit. You should be fine putting a 60 in there.

I thought i had the newest Rockford Fosgate Kit...hmmm maybe they came out with a new one sence last month.
