I'm trying to do some figuring...alos asked some other places.
Is 2 4" round ports gonna be enough port area for 4 8" subs?
Personally I think at least 3 are needed...but other people seem to say 2 is fine. I've never played with 8's before so.....

what 8's? what are u tuning the bx to? im sure the manufacturer has to have specs somewhere on their web site. come on Lash, dont be so lazy
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
i had lots of toys when i was young.slinky,etc.but once i found my penis, that was all she wrote
Nope...no specs for rec. box sizes on the Tang Band W8-740C's.
Box will be 3 cubes total @ 32 hz.
Ehhh...I think I'm gonna have to get around 12-15 sq. in. per sub....so 36+ Sq.in. total.
2 4" round ports = 25 sq.in.
I think I'm stuck with round ports since my box is roughly 39.5" wide x 24" tall x 8" deep (O.D.). It's either the rounds or I'm going to have to figure out a square port.

NO chance for a giant center port ?
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
Nope...box is only 8" deep. I think I'm gonna try a square/rectangle port up firing.....subs will be firing forward. Giant port = more port area= longer port

Do you have the room for a 6" aeroport?
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
I gonna do a square port. 6.5"x6.5" port = 42.25 sq. in. of port = about 10.5 sq.in. of port per sub. I'm happy with that.
I dont think I could fit a 6" aero cause it would flare out too much for a top or side mount port.
Thanks for the help though.
