so what are your thoughts about Audiobahn???

ive never had a chance to listen to anything audiobahn other than amps. in my eyes they where to flashy. In the online car audio community they are either looked at as being a huge joke, or the greatest things ever.

theyre more on the joke end of the spectrum as far as im concerned, theyre flashy show off crap. performance wise, their high end stuff is mediocre and anything lower than that just doesnt stand up to anything u could get from a better brand for the same price.

I have 2 AB 12's, and they are (for the most part) bling free.
For the price I paid, I'm satisfied.
Yeah, all the flame crap on most of their stuff is god aweful. Way to much chrome plating on everything. Sound quality... there is better stuff out there.

yeah i agree kicker is way better, but looking at price wise and audibahn themselves, there are much better choices then them,

If you want something thats flashy and just makes loud booming sounds, get Audiobahns. If u want something that has a better SQ or a tighter response, get something else.
i disagree with alot of people,,,,i think some of there subs yes, like the flamed ones are too flashy BUT there stuff does sound pretty good. Obviously you cannot compair them to JL but for the price you CANNOT beat the look or or soun in my opionion!
for the price they can be beat in sound by alot of companies. maybe not looks, well if u consider flames and chrome ,"looks" ide perfer a flat black cone with a black basket.

i have 2 12farad audiobahn capacitors,a 30band equalizer,a 2ch (a752dp) ran to my infinity kappa series components (speakers are 2 ohm,amp is puttin out 150watts rms x2) and a 2ch digital a2601t in the rear to my infinity kappa series 6x9's and my kappa perfect 6.1 components (amp is bridged 2ohmsx2 210watts rms) all running off my pioneer AVH-7490DVD and it sounds amazing,i also have the front and rear components and 6x9's in sealed fiberglassed pods and measured to spec but i love the amps,i love my audiobahn stuff b/c i got it 75% off retail while i was working at circuit city so i got it for practically nothing,i have one of there A2300HCT amplifiers(2400rms x1@1ohm) and i plan to get another($500 off ebay) i had a A2200hct ran to my 4 type R's and it was amazing,i would NEVER put audiobahn midrange or full range speakers in my car,nor would i walk into a shop and pay full or near full retail for there stuff,they lo0k nice but there is better out there. I now work at a custom shop and we carry eclipse,memphis,jl,orion and dei and there amps are amazing,eventually i will go all JL but the price i got my audiobahn stuff for i couldnt beat it,there subs are loud and thats about it. Thats basically the break down of audiobahn,if u can get it cheap it really isnt that bad but to pay full retail,not to0 smart

you should talk to youve got such a badass system w/ ur w0's and type R components which r nice but are nothing compared to kappa perfects......u need to do sum research of your own......i paid maybe 3grand for all my stuff when retail its almost triple that,so whos the to0l now?

the best system I ever heard was 3.5's UNDER the seat, tweets in the dash pointed at the windshield, and 8's right behind the front seat. the goal is to make the music transparent and you can achieve it with any setup with the right placement of speakers.
so next time you say he knows nothing about imaging and sound stage, shut the eff up, It could sound amazing.

Well I am sponsored by Audiobahn so my whole entire ICE is Audiobahn, Now I think they do have a quality products, however I chose them more for show, but if you want spl you can get good products through Audiobahn but you will be spending like $600.00 per sub and by time you do that you could of had the JL W7. I personally think for spl Alpine and JL are the way to go. But if you are looking for quality with alittle show to them Audiobahn has some great stuff and I know a site that sells audiobahn equipment fairly cheap. Things like 2 12s that sell for normally $350 a piece and an 2200hct amp that sells normally for $1000 all 3 items for $600.00 shipped so a pretty good deal, but you just need to decide what path you want to go down.

1. Current generation Type R's will BLOW ANY Kappa perfects out of the water my friend.
2. CDT, BA, Focal, Alpine Type R's X's, Adire Components sets (with some Koda's
), ED's component sets, will all outperform in almost every aspect. I paid 2100 $ in total for all of my gear, and I compete quite well in SQ as is my freind, please do not go around talking about throwing down your "cash"....
3. BadCav is one of the best guys to post here in the audio forum. You rambling as you are is not going to get you anywhere, nor will it make anyone join your sidein your arguement with him.
