sub not working properly

ok the other day, my alpine cda-9851 stopped working, turns out that the ground wire came loose.... once i got that fixed i had to reset the stations and all the settings for bass bbe and treble

before all that happened, my sub pounded liek a mother Alpine swr-1242d and 800 mono pioneer amp.

well after i redid all the settings, i cant even feel the sub anymore, i know its working cuz i can see it and hear it when i opne the trunk, but once its closed it sounds liek its not working, even though it is, (seats fold down) i went around looking at all the connections and the grounds and they are all good... my other amp for the 4 speakers works just fine without a problem and gets hella freaking loud

I set allt he settings the same as they were before the ground came loose on the deck...

can anyone help me figure out what my problem is with my amp/sub

hmmmm.... I am confused, and the Blonde genius that is me,
does not easily get confused

You can see the sub moving, but you can't hear it?

Did you go deaf?

Oh, just thought of something. Is it ported or sealed?

If it's sealed, make sure you have it completely sealed, screwed tight and everything. After that all you can do is check cables and gain settings.

Also the off chance that it blew, but they usually make noises like a paper flapping around when they do.

i bet you your head unit has a sub volume control on it and you need to turn it back up

idk about ur 9851, but my 9847 has a center frequency button and I had the same problem but then remembered that i forgot to set that one back again. Maybe thats your problem.
Also, I know that I can set mine for Sub System 1 or Sub System 2 (i think thats what its called) and that makes a big difference too.
