hey guys i wanted to get everyones input as to what kinda of system i should get... i had 2 12" Rockford subs w/ a 600watt kenwood amp in my cavy last year and they were very nice subs and the sound was great from them, i had the amp turned down a lil past half, and had all the bass settings on the deck to the lowest and they still sounded damn good... but i ran into some money troubles and ended up selling the subs and amp to my cousin who cracked them this winter
anyways im looking to pick up a new system this summer and need help choosing good subs and an amp... i want 2 12's again, i was thinking JL or rockford, ive always liked rockford subs... but the amp im lost on, again i was thinking rockford or alpine..
im looking for a setup that isnt gonna rattle the car apart but wont be one of thoughs systems you can only hear in the car... i like bass but not to the point where you cant breathe inside the car.... heres what i was thinking
2 12" rockford power series(i think thats what the top of the line rockfords are now??)
and an 800+watt rockford or alpine amp... also should i get a bass cap, with the old system at stoplights w/ headlights/foglights on the lights would dim alil, so would a cap help?
the deck im using is a sony CDX-F7705X, but im upgrading to a alpine unit this summer.. anyways thanks for any and all help, im lost when it comes to systems... thanks again...

Just close your eyes and grab all the name-brand stuff you can grab. It'll sound good. You won't need a cap either.
my boy had two punch p1 12' on a punch p3001 amp it hit har the subs arent expensive and the amp is like 329 i belive
If you want my advice, i know u said u wanted two 12's, but i just installed my system and it is the loudest damn thing i have ever owned, and i have owned my share of audio equipment. It was relatively low in price and the quality is outstanding.
As shady as circuit city can be, they DO carry kicker and Eclipse. I just picked the Kicker kx.600.1 for 350.00 online from them, the single 12 L5 in the vented enclosure (the enclosure i might add is AMAZING, it makes the system) for 379.00, and my eclipse head unit for 399.00. When i played this thing for the first time i was absolutely amazed. I have ran 2000 watt systems, but got sick of them because of the weight and space they take up, this set-up sounds equivalent to some of the bigger stereos i have had in the past, but its only producing half the power (735 watts RMS). Its light weight, The box is fairly small, as well as the amp. Its a great setup. Thats my advice.
