As anyone here with the base sound system upgraded their speakers? If so was the difference noticable?

I just bought Audiobahn AS46Q 4x6 component set and AS96Q 6x9 component set for my car and Iam wondering if it is gonna be enough of an upgrade or will I reall need an amp. I am not looking for super loud just a little bit more than I have now. I figured aftermarket speakers that are more efficient than the stockers would give me a bit more volume. The 4x6 set is 93db sens. and the 6x9 set is 95db.

Saftermarket speakers will always sound better. But if its not enough for you, get a new HU, instead of the stock one.

i upgraded my stocks to pioneers when i first got the car. sounded like crap with the stock headunit. the stock HU just couldn't do anything for the speakers. once i put in an aftermarket deck it made a world of difference.

stock hu works jsut fine for me. course its the monsoon one. more wattage

Before I changed my head unit the stock pos would dim from the bass pounding from the Pioneer 6 x 9s
