I have an '03 Sunfire that I am getting ready to install an alarm in. My car currently has manual door locks but I will be putting in actuators. Does anyone know if I need the bypass if I want a kill switch on my alarm or only if my car came from the factory with one? Also are there any known issues with installing the actuators ? Thanks.

You only need a bypass for a Remote Start, for just an basic alarm system you don't. I installed actuators with no problem, just don't have the wiring hooked up yet. Finally having nice weather so I can get the wiring connected so that it works.
