I have the sony m9900 and once i get in my truck and it is a hot day or it is a cold day and i just have the heater on a long time my cd player will get too hot and just stop playing. It will work fine as soon as it cools down. Just wondering has anyone else had this problem and if so what can i do to fix it.

sounds like you have a short somewhere in either the cd player or your wiring

Stock cd players will do that.
I was in a van, listening to a cd and it overheated in about an hour.

As far as fixing it, IDK.
You could try putting some DC computer fans mounted to it or something.

If it isn't a wiring thing as mentioned above, i would just get a new deck IMO.
