coustic cf124 subs any good?
Tuesday, March 28, 2006 6:15 PM
my buddy is selling his 12" coustic carbon fiber subs in a box for $100. i don't know a lot about them, but i heard them when he had them in his monte carlo and they hit hard, yet still sounded good when listening to various types of music. i've had 2 10" mtx subs since i've had a car, and they were perfect for the music i listen to. i'm kind of apprehensive of going to 12's because i want more clarity than just all out pounding. anyone know if these are a good choice or have any other recommendations?

1. the woofer size crap effecting qaulity is a myth.
2. I have never heard of coustic.
3. The specs sound alright.
4. first hand experience speaks much better then specs.

Yeah listen to your ears. And the 12's sounding worse than 10's thing is pretty much a myth. But there is a huge difference in box sizes between the two.
