Hello everyone, well I'm almost ready to install my car audio equipment but i need to know where to run my Power wire from the battery to the trunk and how to i get through the Firewall? Wire is 0/1 gauge, the wire will be running through a 94 Cavalier. I also have a Kick panel question, i was wondering if i buy Q-logic kicks is there any interference with leg room and the brake pedal? the reason i ask this is because in certain pictures i saw it looks like the mid range almost covers all the leg room in between the kicks and the brake pedal..
Thanks for all the help.
Either go thru a stock grommet or use something like
this.
As far as the kick panels, idk.

if u have a grommet for ur wire a good spot is beside the clutch pedal
as for the kick panels i was gonna make some for my car but during mockup i found out it interfered with my clutch pedal so i threw them in my doors instead

as u can see they arnt done yet lol

Thanks a lot for the replies, for the power wire i don't see no rubber gorments to go through so i might have to drill a small hole in the firewall. Mike i was wondering is there a lot of room if i don't have a clutch? the reason i ask is because my car is a auto so i just want to be able to hear a good up front soundstage. how hard is it to make door kicks? kinda like you did.
Thanks again
look behind your brake pedal. should be a big rubber thing you can stick it through. might have to slice it open a bit though.

what size are ur componets? with the 5 1/4" ones in my pic u could probably get away with it,but i was gonna make a set for my beater(auto 4dr cavy) and the 6.5s i was gonna use got in my way...but i also have a size 14 foot and its pretty wide lol
as for making it,its pretty simple
cut out some MDF rings for ur speakers and hot glue them in the position u want using dowels as support,i used 3/4" MDF as thats all i had sittin around but u can use thinner stuff i would think

then take a old t-shirt and stretch it TIGHT over ur ring and i used hot glue again to glue the shirt down around the edges, also trim off the excess fabric and then mix up some resin and soak the cloth and let it dry

after drying scuff it up wiht some 40 or 80 grit sandpaper and apply several layers of fibreglass

then add some bondo to smooth it out

also dont put ur tweeter where i put mine,i wasnt thinking and when i close my door the tweeter is right infront of teh dash

and heres how i mounted my 6.5s in the beater,i tried to mount them right tothe door but it wouldnt clear the window when i tried to roll it down,so 3/4" spacers where made
