Wire Problem ? No FM, but everything else works

I'm not sure if this is a problem with my deck or the wiring, but I've got no FM. My CD and AM works, but I hardly pull in a FM signal, at max volume I can barely make things out... BTW, I've got a Sony Xplode CDX-5000 deck.

Last summer my FM would cut out, but only when it got really hot, but yesterday it cut out totally....

I've checked the FM connection to the antenna and it seems good...

What I need to know is that where does this FM wire go to. I know it ends at the deck, but am I correct in that the wire follows the passenger side of the vehicle.

I live in Toronto, and we have a couple of kick ass FM radio stations, and I love listen to the morning shows when I drive to work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes I belevie that is how it runs. I would start from the back of the deck and the FM adapter, maybe you pulling it loose some how.

Or your deck has gone bunk.

the antenna is grounded by its base in the trunk in most cases.
