i was wondering i know that most car compaines are putting usb ready decks in factory cars now but what about after market decks? i heard that alpine has a few. i just wanted to get a good opinion before making a purchase. also seeing that i am completely lost when it comes to audio, which brand interior speakers would you buy? I just want a decent set of 6x9's and front dash also. would i need an amp to power all of that or could i run it off the deck?
kenwood and jvc is all i know of atm

I would get the kenwood or jvc one. Wouldnt even mess with the cheap ones.

It was about $140. I love it, only a few minor complaints (the shuffle feature isn't random at all, for one). The one major problem I've come across is that the S/N ratio is low. I never noticed it until I installed new speakers and an amp, and realized I couldn't turn the gain up at ALL without introducing noise. If you want a high-power system, either get a huge amp that you can leave the gain down on, or go with a different HU. For lower power applications, such as myself, it's great.
That sounds like it could be the great deck for me because i dont plan on running any subs and just interior speakers. I was told that i should just get like a 4 channel 200w amp to help push the new 6x9's and front speakers also.

My system consists of a sub (Bazooka BTA8200), Infinity Reference's all around, and a 50x4 amp powering the Infinities... sounds pretty similar to what you're thinking. Should work fine
Yeah i plan to buy the HU infinity kappa series all around and that's it. 50x4 huh? that sounds a little weak doesnt it?

With the gains all the way down on it, it about equals the volume level from the HU. However, it's much clearer, and I can now turn my volume up all the way without distortion.
You said you were planning on getting a 4 channel 200 watt amp... a 50x4 amp IS a 4 channel 200 watt amp. None of my speakers are rated higher than 70 RMS watts, I think, so I never attempted to find an amp with much more wattage. Plus I got the amp for $45 off a friend, lol.
how much should the amp come out to and which brand should i get? so with the speakers, amp and install how much should I be looking at to spend?
Other 4-channel amps I looked at were $100+... I don't know any particular brand to go for or avoid, I have an MTX and had heard good things about them before I got it. Try to get an amp that has power output close to the max RMS rating of your speakers.
Cost, I have no idea. Install should be free though, DIY for the win
So mtx is good huh? what about phoenix gold? I can get a hold of one of those for cheap. or is that to many watts?

A brand name alone doesn't tell anyone how many watts the particular amp you're looking to get puts out. "Too many" is relative to the speakers you're powering, and we don't know that either.
