I bought the Pioneer DEH-P8500MP off of eBay a couple of weeks back. I haven't got to test it out until last weekend. This is the deck that has a motorized face plate with another screen at the back. Anyways, when testing the HU the back OEL screen doesn't display anything! In fact none of the buttons on the back screen work either. The HU plays CDs and radio stations and everything on the front face works but I was mainly going to use the deck to play songs from my iPod. It would be pretty hard to find a song with no screen.

I was wondering if anyone had any info on this deck to fix my problem or if it would be a waste of money to fix (already spent over $200 on it). I hate getting ripped off on eBay.

The unit has a small switch that is 'supposed' to activate the rear display when it moves downward. Obviously that isn't working.

I'd try to get my money back.

I never buy crap from people on ebay if they have more than a few negative feedbacks. Especially if it relates to being ripped off.

Well I'm stuck with the deck so I'm trying to get it to function correctly. Is this switch accessible to be able to fix/replace?
