eh

yesterday at work i had a problem with the car, where i shut it off when i got there, and i hear a faint chirp coming from the siren of the alarm.. the alarm wont disarm, or arm, none of the electronics in the car work at all, and nothing... i got a buddy to give me a boost, thinking the battery was dead, and when i was about to do it the siren went off, and i jumped in and it started

now its doing it again.. car wont start, nothings working.. i can hear like a realy faint, kinda like a whining sound, that looks like its coming from under the dashbaord, and the needles on the guages are kinda like jolting up and down when the sound happens..

i have no freaking clue what is going on.. could it be my alarm is **** everything up? i have no freaking clue.... anyone help, and please for the love of god dont move this to another forum, i need help fast!!

tested the battery with a voltmeter and its at 12.4v

The faint chirp coming from the alarm makes me think bad/corroded ground.

Was the install done professionally? Did they use solderless connectors or scotchlocks? Usually that is a big part of the problem on the ones I have to fix.

Check your battery terminals.
That sorta happened to me and I found out my negative betery terminal was corroded like no other. Cleaned it off and worked fine.

If you have remote start, you might check the wires for the ignition too.

first thing I would do is disconnect anything aftermarket that is connected to the car's electrical system. Any of them could be causing it if they are shorting out somewhere. If you didn't put it all in yourself, then take it somewhere and get it checked out.

Yup... bad connection for sure. Check your battery connections, and the ground to the battey tray, I believe it's a 10mm bolt.
