I am thinking on buying one and would like ideas on the box setup... I am thinking of gettin a couple of these amps to run the one....maybe 2 (if i can afford it)

If you could let me know if this setup would be good or know of any better, ill listen.. I got around 2k to spend on that part of the system if necessary. I currently am running stock on the charging unit (battery and amp) I am gonna do the big 3 in october when i return home from japan. I am currently running a pioneer DEH-P650 but i plan on upgrading to newer Pioneer or maybe Alpine unit. Current subs are audiobahn subs (forgot model #) They are 700w @ 2ohms. i got 2 of those wired to run 2 ohms each and have them hooked up to a Koiiler 500x2 @ 2ohm Amp. I havent added dynomat yet, but when i come back from japan, i am gonna dynomat the interior and upgrade the system (which is why this post is up) I upgraded the doors and rear deck (doors are pioneer 4x6 3 ways and rear are pioneer 6x9 5 way). I am going to buy a SPL meter in like august, so when i get home it will be there waiting for me.
In all I am not concerned with the cost of everything, cause i plan on keeping my cavi for a while, cause i just love the hell outta it because it is reliable...... so far, and plan on using it as my everyday car. I do plan on getting another vehicle for my Performance side of me hehe. Well yeah.. anyways enough rambling.. Any ideas would be cool.. Thanks
I hear square kicker subs are really good, the guy at visions in regina had the 15" one just about knocking the crossovers off the top shelves using the kicker 600 watt mono amp. Take a listen, go to best buy, future shop and visions and have a listen. Most of the time, they'll say it's alot louder in a car, which is very, very true
Kicker round subs are also really good, there's a pair of 12" subs in a box with a giant port built to specs in regina Visions that only costs $411 for the whole thing.
I wish I had 2 grand to spend on a system. Because the system I built for $300 packs the earwax against my ears, you should be able to blow up your car lol (not literally of course)

we can only recommend. It's your ears that count, not ours.
The Solo-X is basically and PURELY an SPL/Competition sub. Put that in a BIG box and feed it lots (and I mean LOTS!!!!) of power and it will be loud as hell. The SQ pretty much sucks though.

Solo-X's are pretty good for SPL, and totally suck for sq. Get yerself something like a Hifoniks Goliath, MA Audio HK12x2, Lanzar Opti1232d, RE SX or XXX, Alpine Type R or a number of other subs you can feed globs of power and they'll sound good too.
I hear the 12" type R's are underrated at 1500 watts peak... true?
lol....I wouldn't run 1500 watts to a Type R daily.

Well I dont think im buying anything till at least october. So i got plenty of time to see if something else comes out or find anything that gives me good SQ/SPL. My current setup is good enough for now, but in the future i wanna gut my car and re-wire everything and install new custom suff. I am going to tokyo this next saturday and im going to see what kinda stuff they got out there as far as systems go. and yes i know that their decks are tuned to a different frequency, but that is an easy fix to take care of.
And yeah i looked at the alpine x, but i have not really seen it in action. I heard the solo x once...the store had an 18" and they just had it wired up and it hit hard for being just sat on a counter without a box..hehe.
