First off, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to car audio. However, I would like to upgrade my system, so I have picked up the following:
I have two Rockford Fosgate Fanatic 5.25" components going in the Q-tech kick panels.
I also have a box with 2 12" subs (have no idea what they are as they were in my g/f's car before she sold it) I will probably be replacing these with some Infinity subs down the road.
I want to replace the front two speakers with Pioneer TS-G4640R 4x6 speakers
Something like the Pioneer TS-A6991R to replace the back speakers
I have no idea what kind of amp I need.
I have read the FAQ and many of the other threads in here, but it could have all been written in Greek, as much as I understood it.
Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated.

i think maybe in the doors you should go with 6.5's ... they'd prolly make you happier, and its not hard to do at all even though its bigger than stock... i have no suggestions on amps or nothing cuz well, i dont really know much about the better brands/equipment cuz well my town sucks so i dont read up on anything i cant buy cuz it'd make me mad i cant get it...so someone else will have to help you there, but definately get some 6.5s in the doors

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
LOL
Nobody can help me out? I just need to know what type of amp I need. I don't understand what all the spec info means. I'd really appreciate it if I could get a few recomendations. I'm looking to spend around 150-200 on an amp.

it all depends on a few things.
are you going to amp the entire car or just the subs.
if you are just amping the subs, it dpends on the type of coils in them. if they are DVC (Dual Voice Coil) i would probably go with just a 2 channel amp or a 4/2 channel, that would be a 4 channel amp where each channel can be bridged. if they are a single coil, any amp will work fine.
generaly, the amp is the first thing you want to get, so you can design the system around it.
my self, i first purchased a 4 channel, non-bridgable amp. i then bought a DVC sub, so i am running the two coils from the sub on two of the channels of the amp.
the other two channels of the amp, are running my front speakers. i have 6" coaxials in the doors, and nothing in the rears.
the more sources of noise ( any source of music is a source of noise) the more likely hood that you will have a conflict.
rather than have my front speakers and rear speakers producing the same frequencies and canceling each other out, i have only the fronts producing frequencies that the sub is unable to produce. this leaves me with wicked staging and imaging.
like i said, decided what you want to run off the amp, and what type of setup these subs are. this is what you will need to decide on your amp.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
This is what I'm thinking about. How does it look?
Rockford Fosgate Fanatic (FNP2514) 5.25" components
- 4 ohm , 50 watts rms / 100 watts peak power
- 60hz - 6khz frequency response
- Tweeter -> 2.8khz - 20khz frequency response
Rockford Fosgate (RFZ3412) 12"
- Four ohm
- 150 watts rms
Rockford Fosgate 301x Punch amplifier 4ch amp 300w
- 40x4 or 150x2 at four ohms, 75x4 at two ohms.
- 12dB Fixed HP/LP/AP crossover
- 80/120hz crossover frequency
(I really have no clue what all the numbers there mean)
I may or may not have anything in the doors or the rear deck
