real quick one I put my battery in my trunk and now Im trying to hook my subs back up there 650 kenwoods. with a 1600 watt lanzar audio amp. I dont have a cap and I think I need one. when one sub is hooked up the car sounds great but with two it gets muddy. I just done think Im geeting enough power.

No cap the extra battery will help help tremendously I have Fosgate 2 T1 12" subs 800 watts and a 10001BD Fosgate Power amp 2000 watt amp with a red top in the trunk and a 180 amp alternator works great almost no headlight dimming.
Did you hook the subs up out of phase?

I only have one battery its the one that came with it. Im almost positive its a power problem.

sounds like a wiring issue...double check that you didn't wire one of the subs backwards or differently

Just get a better battary, i have a rockford power 1500 amps with 2 HX2.. i have an optima red top never had a prob, lights never dim...check your wiring, or your ground cable.
A battery isn't going to make it sound better. It's seems to me like there is a wiring issue.

your amp is not a 2000 watt amp it sounds like the woofers are out of phase.
one question though. does the electronicsa in your car strill work properly.
the gains should be the same for both channels of the amp.(if the amp has two channels)
