I've been thinkin about it for some time, but I think it'd be a cool idea. A friend of mine made a speaker box for his beretta that goes in his back seat housing 4 12" subs and two 6x9s, only problem with it is now he cant have people sittin in the back now. I want to do something similar, 12" subs in the back seats, except because I have a 4 door car, I still want people to be able to sit in the back. These are just rough designs, but I still think it'd be cool. I'd be going over the boards with soft foam and navy blue fabric to match the interior. Would 3/4" MDF board be able to support the weight of a person, using this design anyway?

lemme know what ya think. Thinkin of doin a plexiglass part so you can actually see the sub, but that would mean sacrificing comfort
my box is in mmy back seat and someone can sit back there....... if i take the face off it.
you plan on doing 4 12's or 2 12's? Way it's looking on your drawing is 2 subs.
yeah, just 2, but they'll be high quality subs. You think the ports in the center of the seats will make them sound just as good as if they werent mounted on a fabricated seat?
i would just go hit the scrap yard up and get a real seat back and cut out the middle of it. it will make it look cleaner and more professional, plus more comfortable for whos sitting back there.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
well like I said, this is just a rough design, once I get actual dimensions of the car it'll be refined and alot better
