Sound like a good setup?

I havent had any "upgraded" speakers and what not for about 1 year or so.

So here is what i want to get:

1- JL Audio 13W7-D1.5
1- JL Audio 1000/1 Class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier
1- JL Audio 300/4 Class A/B Four-Channel Full-Range Amplifier
1- JL Audio ZR650-CSi 2-Way Component System
1- JL Audio TR690-TXi 3-Way Speakers

And for my headunit:

Clarion VRX765VD DVD MULTIMEDIA STATION WITH TOUCH PANEL CONTROL

And of course im goinf to Dynamat the car.

Sound good?

Any other suggestions on a headunit, that has, Sirius (Ready), touch screen, dvd player, etc...

JL gear is top notch, but mucho expensive. Those ZRs and that 13W7 will sound absolutely amazing!

The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

I know JL is expensive but, as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for". And I am willing to pay the extra $$$ to get what i want.....

I was just seeing if anybody else had any other ideas.

you get what you pay for but most of the time people who follow this rule religously end up spending too much money

well, its not like its goin in a cavalier. i shoulda stated it was going in my new-ish car, 98 bmw........

so spending more money is sometimes a good thing. cuz u dont want cheap stuff in a nice ass car.

Clarion is one of the best i have had alpina, kenwood and so on and the only headunits i would use is a clarion or eclipse. i had mine for over 3 years and still works fine.

you can check out ikesound.com and you can get that head unit for aroudn $600 but its a refurb. with refurbs they replace most of the parts and end's up being better then new.

for amps and sub's i would look other places, i never really liked the sound of the W7 and there are many other sub's out there better for both spl and sq that cost alot less.

for midrange check out cdtaudio.com even the lower line will sound better then 80% of components out there.

"YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"
you don't know to much about car audio do you? jlaudio is just like Nike you can get a better shoe but you see Nike on t.v. and makes you want to get it. you pay for the advertisement and pay more when you could of had something better for less.

well, sweetnloud,

you seem to know what your talking about, so what kind of subs/speakers/amps would you recommend?

i wanna try to stick with the same brand for everything if possible except for the head unit.

i want good SQ but also alot of bass when i want it......
